Giorgio Divitini is the Senior Technical Officer in Advanded TEM for WEMS. Between 2012 and 2016 he worked as PDRA with Dr. Cate Ducati on the EM characterisation of photo-active materials for solar energy harvesting and photocatalysis. Currently he is focussing on titanium dioxide-based photocatalysts, and on titanium dioxide- and perovskite-based solar cells. He is also employing and developing in-situ solutions for the investigation of nanostructured materials and devices. He collaborates with several groups for the characterisation of nanostructured materials using high resolution imaging, STEM-EELS, dark field electron tomography and Focused Ion Beam tomography and sample preparation. Giorgio also carried out consultancy projects for industrial clients involving characterisation and elemental analysis of devices and nanoparticles.
