Research undertaken by the Electron Microscopy Group focuses primarily on the development of novel electron microscopy techniques and their application to a wide range of materials and devices.

Current research topics are (pages under development):

Electron Tomography

Electron Diffraction and Crystallography

Superconductivity and Phase Transitions

Nanostructured Materials

Energy Loss Spectroscopy

Dual Beam Microscopy

Aberration-Corrected Scanning Transmission Electron Microscopy

The group is part of the ESTEEM2 (Enabling Science and Technology through European Electron Microscopy 2) network.
ESTEEM2 is a Collaborative and Support Action Project within the 7th Framework Programme of the European Commission (October 2012 - September 2016).
