OPENING!

 

 

The Opening Ceremony for the FEI Titan3 80-300 was held on the 10th of September 2010, at the Nanoscience Centre in Cambridge. David Willetts, the Minister of State for University and Science, inaugurated the microscope and appeared to enjoy looking at GaN quantum wells. The event received a broad national and international press coverage.

Congratulations to Professor Sir Colin Humphreys

 

 

Congratulations to Professor Sir Colin Humphreys who was knighted in the Queen's 2010 Birthday Honours for services to Science. At the end of June he has also become the Master of the Armourers and Brasiers' Company in London.

Jenna Tong celebrates the successful completion of her PhD viva with Prof Serena Best and Prof Rik Brydson (Leeds). Congratulations!
Jenna now works at the Centre for Space Atmospheric and Oceanic Science of Department of Electronic and Electrical Engineering in Bath.
